Biker Tried to Dodge a Hole on Bridge Road but Met a Sugar Cane Truck
Apparently the bad state of the asphalt and the local government postponing fixing bad roads have been the cause of the death of a motorcyclist in Colombia.
According to the Fire Department, the accident happened last Friday at 7:20 a.m. on the bridge that crosses the Cauca river at the height of the Guayabal district.
The victim, who was identified as H. D. O. O, a 26-year-old construction assistant, was traveling along that viaduct riding a Yamaha motorcycle and when the biker tried to dodge a hole, he would have lost control of the device, fell on the pavement and was being run over by a truck transporting sugar cane which was owned by one of the sugar mills in the region.
Inhabitants got angry at the Department of Infrastructure for the lack of maintenance of this bridge whose slab is very deteriorated for several years and already caused many traffic accidents especially in nightly hours.
